As a Make-Up Specialist, you’ll report to the Head and Deputy Head of (WHAM) Department. Your focus will be on the preparation, maintenance and continuity of the make-up for the cast, while helping to deliver the show’s visual artistry, ensuring a smooth and efficient backstage operation during rehearsals and performances.
| Responsibilities and Duties |
· Assist the Head of WHAM by liaising between the Company Manager, Technical departments, Creative Team, Production and General Management Teams to ensure the smooth running of all rehearsals and performances.

| What We’re Looking For: |
| Please note: Professional makeup artistry experience is essential — this is not a trainee or graduate position.
· Make-up Specialty: Apply and maintain specialised make-up techniques, including: – Application of bald caps and tattoos. – Scar application and other special FX. – Running transfer appliances. · Make-Up Knowledge: Understanding of theatrical makeup and application techniques, including fashion and stage-specific products. Confident in applying makeup quickly and effectively in high-pressure, fast-moving environments. · Background: Experience in a similar role within a large-scale musical production, particularly those involving international casts and the opening of new shows, is highly desirable. · Wigs & Hair: Knowledge of wig/hair styling across all hair types is desirable · Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cast, creatives, and crew · Health & Safety Awareness: Sound understanding of health and safety practices in a backstage environment |
