The Associate Head of Development Operations works to optimise fundraising at the National Theatre by delivering exemplary operational support across the Development team, enabling fundraisers to be outward-facing and supporter-focused. Working closely with the Head of Development Operations, the post-holder will lead the day-to-day delivery of the Development Operations function, ensuring effective systems, processes and governance are in place to optimise the team’s performance against financial targets and ensure compliance with internal and external legislation.The post-holder will work in partnership with the Senior Managers across the department’s Prospect Research, Donor Relations, and operational support functions, to develop strategy, improve efficiency and embed best practice. They will also deputise for the Head of Development Operations as required, building strong relationships across the organisation to ensure Development is well positioned to achieve its fundraising ambitions.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Significant experience in a Development Operations role in a busy fundraising department.
  • Experience of managing competing priorities across multiple functions.
  • Experience of using data and insight to improve decision-making.
  • Experience of implementing processes and systems across a team.
  • Robust line management experience.
