SOLT & UK Theatre respond to Government consultation on secondary ticketing

In response to the Government’s announcement of the secondary ticketing consultation, SOLT & UK Theatre Co-Ceo Hannah Essex said:

“SOLT & UK Theatre members welcome over 34 million theatregoers annually to venues across the UK, offering brilliant productions at outstanding value. We are committed to best practices, including providing transparent ticket pricing in compliance with the STAR Code of Practice.

“We appreciate the consultation and support the Government’s efforts to better protect consumers from unregulated re-sale platforms. We look forward to contributing the insights and experiences of our members to the consultation process and collaborating with the Government to shape future improvements in the ticketing market.”
