Founded over 30 years ago, Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Ltd owns and operates eight of the most prestigious theatres in London’s West End: the Gielgud, Noël Coward, Novello, Sondheim, Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, Victoria Palace and Wyndham’s.

Working alongside the in-house technical teams across all eight of our venues you will get the opportunity to be part of the day to day running of our theatres and productions. To learn and apply the skills of a multi-skilled theatre technician, whilst studying a level 3 qualification at Chichester College under the Creative Industries Production Technician Apprenticeship Standard. You will get hands on experience in Stage, Lighting and Video duties with the additional focus of Sound and Automation alongside our incoming productions.

This role will be fixed-term for 24-months and the work is divided between 80% ‘on the job’ learning in a professional working environment, and 20% college learning and course work which you are given dedicated study time for each week. Typically, at about 18 months in you will enter the assessment process to gain the qualification which we and the college support you with. You can be eligible if you have a Higher Education qualification, such as a degree, but it needs to be in a different discipline.
