Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced Swing Dresser to work on the London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017.
Your duties and responsibilities will be those normally expected of a Dresser on a first-class West End production. Other responsibilities include maintaining costumes and reporting repairs to the wardrobe team to ensure the design of the production is preserved.
Experience in theatre on a large-scale production is desirable.
Candidates will require relevant hands-on professional experience in costume, the ability to work under pressure and within a team, good interpersonal and communication skills and strong organisational and time management qualities.
Ideal candidates will have an understanding of sewing techniques and will be learning multiple dressing plots.

Job Location: West End London.
Contract Type: A year contract in the first instance, then the contract will be rolling.
Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/BECTU Agreement.
Weekly Hours: 8 shows per week plus maintenance and rehearsal calls.
