CFT are looking for a part-time Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team. With proven financial experience in a recent and relevant role, you will play an active role in supporting the Purchase Ledger function with CFT’s busy Finance team.

Purchase Ledger Assistant – P/T

Responsible to: Purchase Ledger Manager

Contract: Permanent, Part-time. 28 – 30 hours per week (to include Wednesdays and Fridays)

Salary:  up to £25,000 pa pro rata, depending on experience                                   

Location: Office Based

Job Purpose

Supporting the Purchase Ledger function within CFT’s busy Finance Team.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, & Banking:

  • Reconcile and post daily box office and front of house banking
  • Purchase ledger matching and processing invoices
  • Manage the accounts inbox and respond to accounts queries
  • Support the weekly payment run process
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Raise monthly and ad hoc sales invoices
  • Support the reconciliation of credit card statements and expenses
  • Input accurate financial data into spreadsheets as required

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Transactional and data entry experience
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Qualified by experience, at least one year in a recent and relevant role
  • Or from AAT level 1

Responsibilities of all Staff Members

  • Follow guidelines, procedures and policies provided by the company in relation to financial management and personnel records
