About the role English National Ballet is seeking an Orchestra Transition Manager to provide additional support over the next 3 months, while we commence recruitment for a successor to our current Orchestra Administration Manager, who has announced their intention to retire early next calendar year. The work is offered on a part time basis (two days a week on average) as a short, fixed term contract. Responsibilities • Development of a comprehensive set of handover documentation for the Orchestra Administration Manager role, based on consultation and engagement with all key stakeholders • Development of comprehensive notes on the orchestration for the classics and up-coming production in the ENB programming to provide a reliable reference tool when planning revivals • Development of a guide to requirements for working in the pit at each of the regular touring venues, including transport and logistics for all rehearsals and performances • Development of any additional templates or process notes as required for booking players, register lists and payroll data Key Selection Criteria • Experience of working with different orchestras for Orchestra management and administration, including sourcing players at short notice • Strong administration skills including numeracy and use of Excel • Ability to develop clear and comprehensive documentation and make revisions as needed • Good listening skills and ability to engage and consult with stakeholders
