Theatre Royal Brighton is Grade II* listed and one of the oldest theatres in the UK. First established in 1764 and on its current site since 1807, it has been in almost continual operation to the present day. This iconic theatre welcomes 200,000 people a year through its doors to more than 300 performances. Five minutes from the beach and situated in the heart of the city, we offer a packed and varied programme of incredible shows plus a full schedule of amazing creative learning activities. Theatre Royal Brighton has played host to all the greats: Kean, Thorndike, Dietrich, Olivier, McKellen and many more.
Working as part of the maintenance team, the Maintenance Technician will support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of venue infrastructure and facilities, which will include regular checks of systems and infrastructure to ensure compliance with ATG Policies and statutory legislation. You will also be able to demonstrate experience in aspects of front-line response with regards to damage and faults within the building, which may include things such as the fabric of the building, painting, decoration, plumbing, electrics etc., and support the Maintenance Manager to request contractor services with respect to works as and when appropriate. Working hours for this role are 35hrs per week, 06:00 – 13:00 Monday – Friday.
