This is a key operational role responsible for building management, maintenance, compliance and day-to-day facilities operations. You will lead a small team, manage contractors and act as the main point of contact for facilities, health & safety and security across the organisation.
You will take a proactive, solution-focused approach-keeping the building safe, functional and welcoming for staff, artists, visitors and audiences, while supporting sustainability and continuous improvement.

Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Proven practical experience managing premises/facilities/estates management position including supervising a small team and managing contractors.
- Practical skills and experience in managing maintenance and external supplier contracts
- Experience managing and monitoring facilities-related contracts including performance, value for money and compliance.
- Significant experience in Health & Safety management including compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- IOSH Managing Safely accreditation
- Awareness of licensing legislation relevant to building operations.
- Understanding of statutory compliance and reporting.
- Experience of managing and developing a BMS
- Hands on approach with good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience in budgeting, financial control, and monitoring facilities-related expenditures.
- Understanding and experience with security systems and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solving skills and initiative with a proactive and flexible attitude.
- Commitment to environmental sustainability in venue operations.
