This is a pivotal senior role at the heart of the organisation. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Artistic Director and Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping, delivering and championing our productions — ensuring they are realised to the highest artistic standards, on time and within budget. You’ll play a key role in building ambitious co-production partnerships across the subsidised and commercial sectors, and in unlocking future opportunities for our work through touring, transfers and intellectual property exploitation.
As Director of Producing, you’ll lead and support our producing team, oversee the smooth running of our visiting programme, and collaborate across departments to ensure productions are well-planned, well-communicated and well-supported. You’ll be a confident ambassador for Nottingham Playhouse — in the rehearsal room, the boardroom and the wider industry — and a champion of best practice in inclusion, safeguarding and sustainability.
