Responsibilities
Liaise with the Show and Music captains and resident directors to plan rehearsals and general performance maintenance.
Manage the company and technical teams, including providing timely updates, news and communications from the Producers.
Submit payroll weekly to the GM team flagging any changes.
Monitoring and submitting timesheets across the company to the General Management team.
Oversee the creation of accurate Show Reports and collating reports from relevant staff in a pre-agreed format and sent in a timely manner.
Manage petty cash expenditure.
Manage the schedule for the actors and technical departments, producing accurate time sheets ready for processing.
Maintain the upkeep of company areas and enforce building procedure.
Manage company holiday.
Monitor company sickness and complete relevant paperwork in regards to this.
Report to the General Manager on a weekly basis.
Inform the General Manager of any day-to-day changes of staff, illness, absence, lateness or any behaviour that might jeopardise the smooth running of the production.
Be responsible for the welfare of members of the company including the booking of physiotherapy or similar as necessary.
Be fully aware of the Safeguarding, Intimacy, Health and Safety and venue policies and ensure that all other members of the company are also aware of the importance of these policies.
Liaise with the press team in making arrangements for press and social media calls and attend when required.
Oversee the pastoral care of the cast and crew teams.
Cover the role of the Stage Manager and the stage manager’s track as required.
Being a point of contact for the venue.
For the duration of the contract, the Company Stage Manager is a representative of the Producer and, as such, is expected to attend relevant meetings when called and to contribute as appropriate.
To represent the General Management team on the ground.
To arrange emergency covers for the production if General Management are not available to do so.
Any other reasonable duties associated with a Company Manager position in a first class West End production.
