Assistant Stage Manager (Technical) – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for an experienced, Assistant Stage Manager (Technical) to work on the London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017.
Your duties and responsibilities will be those normally expected of an Assistant Stage Manager (Technical) on a first-class West End production.
Previous experience as a Technical ASM on a busy show is essential. Skills required include attention to detail, the ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy live production environment and good all-round technical skills.
Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following, electronics, carpentry, pyrotechnics and performer flying.
The role will cover multiple ASM tracks and will play an active part in the maintenance of set, props and illusions.

Job Location: West End London
Contract Type: A year contract in the first instance, then the contract will be rolling.
Salary: Weekly rate as per SOLT/Equity Agreement.
Weekly Hours: 6 day working weeks (Tuesday to Sunday); 8 shows per week plus maintenance and understudy calls.
