You must have a relevant marketing qualification and be flexible in working arrangements in order to meet important deadlines and attend regular press nights and events (which take place during evenings, weekends and bank holidays).
The role involves managing a range of Marketing, Media and Publicity campaigns for the entire service spanning across arts, culture, libraries, conference & events, and a growing programme of outreach and education. You will work with promoters, artists, and conference organisers to create exciting campaigns, and amazing media packs. Venue Cymru is the regions busiest arts and events centre, comprising of a 1,500 seat theatre, 2,500 capacity arena and a full range of high quality conference and event spaces.
You will have experienced in:
• fully integrated marketing and media campaigns
• maximising positive media coverage
• monitoring outcomes and delivering projects within budget to tight deadlines
The role is essentially self-supervising and the post holder is expected to show a high degree of initiative, making decisions within broad guidelines. You must show resilience under pressure and adapt working practices in line with changing service needs, working collaboratively within and across teams/services. Individuals are expected to maintain effective communications with external agencies, suppliers, media, production companies, event planners, performance artists and customers, acting with courtesy and professionalism at all times.
