The Bridge Theatre Stage Department is currently looking for an enthusiastic and talented Show Crew to join our team for the upcoming revival of our hit production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which previously ran to great acclaim in 2019.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include all tasks customarily performed by Show Crew in respect of a theatrical production of an appropriate standard and scale including (but not limited to):
Providing support for the Production’s stage management team in carrying out preparation, maintenance and general upkeep of the Production as required.
Undertaking weekly safety checks and show maintenance under the supervision of the Stage Supervisor.
Ensuring the stage is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Providing the Deputy Head of Stage / Stage Supervisor with a clear and concise cue sheet of your stage plot.
Providing a duty of care for the company and audience by keeping the backstage areas and fire exit routes clear at all times.
This production is in a promenade format and as such an audience of 400 persons will be joining the action in the pit, you will have a responsibility to ensure the safety of the audience when carrying out your stage cues, and communicate effectively with the SM team and other show staff at all times.
Portraying a professional manner and carrying out duties to the highest standards at all times.
Person Specification:
Essential
At least 1 year’s experience working on a large-scale show.
Safe working practice. Good working knowledge of Working at Height Regulations, LOLER, PUWER, CDM and general safe working practice in a theatrical environment.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work well under pressure in a collaborative environment.
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable
IPAF License and Tallescope Training.
Experience of working in a Producing House theatre.
