The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) is an association that represents the producers, theatre owners and managers of the major commercial and grant-aided theatres in central London. 

SOLT and UK Theatres are looking for part time support to help with Facilities and IT at our Covent Garden office and ticket booth in Leicester Square.

There are two separate opportunities in Facilities and IT, both for 1 day/week but applications for a combined 2 day a week role would also be considered.

Facilities and Operations Assistant

Supporting the Operations Manager you will provide both a proactive and reactive repairs and maintenance service. You will assist the Operations Manager to ensure that all premises are kept tidy, welcoming and safe for staff and visitors. You will also contribute towards implementation of the organisation’s building strategy improvements. You will have experience of maintaining facilities and equipment and a basic knowledge of building trades. A “can do” attitude is essential as is a pride in your work, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be both flexible and adaptable. To download the job description click here.

IT Assistant

Supporting the Operations Manager you will provide a range of first line IT support services. You will work closely with both staff and the IT support providers to deal with day to day IT issues. You will also assist the Operations Manager to plan and implement longer term strategic IT improvements. Ideally you will have some experience of PC hardware and software set up and support. You should have the ability to prioritise tasks and use your own initiative and the interpersonal skills to deal with a range of people and quickly identify their needs. For both roles occasional out of hours and/or extra hours work may be required to cover external events and the demands of the organisation.

Hours of work:           7 or 14 hours per week including occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary:                       Facilities and Operations Assistant £14.00 per hour.

                                    IT Assistant £19.00 per hour.

We are seeking a confident creative person to coordinate and implement our social media activity and community management across all our social media channels.

The right person will have at least a year’s experience of working on social media platforms, devising content calendars, creating original content and day to day community management, and a keen interest in filming and editing video content or improving their skills in this area.

The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) is an association that represents the producers, theatre owners and managers of the major commercial and grant-aided theatres in central London.

We seek a friendly, welcoming and efficient receptionist to join our busy Operations team. Reception is a key function in the organisation, welcoming Members and visitors to meetings and courses and providing operational support to all staff. This role will also provide administrative support to the Operations Manager and to other SOLT departments as and when required.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, professional manner. The ability to multitask will be very important as will a flexible and ‘can do’ approach to meet the varied demands of this office.

Hours of work:                        37.5 hours per week including occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary:                                     £24,850
