The role:

We are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to manage and oversee contracting for all Royal Opera activity and more particularly to lead on negotiating and issuing contracts for creative teams, new commissions, and all production activity.

What you`ll bring:

This role will suit a candidate who has significant experience of working in a busy office with a high-volume workload and strong communication skills. You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience of negotiating, drafting and working with contract documentation including a good understanding of rights issues and relevant contract terms.
  • Knowledge and firm understanding of contractual documentation and managing compliance in line with data management (GDPR) requirements.
  • Good understanding of working practices of a theatre and issues relating to client base, and good general knowledge of opera, music and theatre.
  • Good liaison skills, ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Strong forward planning skills and demonstrable ability to manage workflow and multiple concurrent activities during busy periods effectively, often working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
