Working with the US
We work closely with our US counterparts, the American Theatre Wing and the Broadway League, to bring the world’s two great theatre capitals together.
This relationship has opened up opportunities that would otherwise not have been possible and has allowed us to discuss audience trends, analyse the diversity of productions in both cities, arrange artist exchanges and assist with the transfer of productions.
The Broadway League was inaugurated in 1930 and is the national trade association for the Broadway industry.
Formed in 1917, the American Theatre Wing is dedicated to preserving the past, celebrating the present and fostering the future of American theatre. The American Theatre Wing created the Tony Awards, develops educational programmes and distributes thousands of dollars of grants and awards each year.
Our work with PEARLE
PEARLE is a Europe-wide organisation that brings together employers’ associations in the performing arts sector. It aims to support the sustainability and promotion of the performing arts in Europe as well as facilitating collective decisions in areas of common interest and engaging in lobbying at a European level based on these collective decisions.
As a member of Pearle, we participate in its biannual conferences, when member organisations are able to exchange information, experiences and ideas on a wide range of topics relevant to the performing arts. These include cultural policy, funding, employment law, collective bargaining, copyright, mobility, taxation and general practice in the sector.
