The Alexandra Theatre is preparing to reopen in 2021 and we're looking for a new Deputy Technical Manager to join us the team in time to relaunch the venue later this summer.
You'll work with a positive and dedicated team, on a busy and varied programme of live music, comedy, dance and musicals, and collaborate with a wide range of visiting companies and ensuring we offer the highest standards of technical support to hundreds of performances and events each year. You'll support the Technical Manager to maintain great relationships with touring companies, ensure we maintain the building to a high standard, and establish a positive safety culture throughout the venue team. This is a varied role including a good mixture of both planning and management and practical technical work, in a dynamic and fast moving venue in Birmingham's city centre.
Please see our job description download for full details of the role and responsibilities. Previous technical experience in a live entertainment context is essential, but this does not have to be a theatre and we are keen to hear from candidates from a wide range of backgrounds. The role is offered on an annualised hours basis, with payment for 200 premium hours included in the salary.
